Less money at 'top' and more to enable our communities.

The payments for the top positions are also pushed by those on the next couple of rungs down. The higher the payment for the GM, the more for senior management.

They really don’t have the skills to justify such payments. If they can earn the big money in the corporate world, let them do it.

To get a better and more effective return, ratepayer money would be better spent on providing:

1. resources to fair dinkum Precinct Committees (such as a paid worker, community office space, local communication networks) so that people in our communities can make sensible – and down-to-earth – decisions about our lives.

2. Salaries for full-time Councillors so they can properly deal with the work load placed upon them.
